Jurong Lake Gardens is envisioned to be Singapore’s new national gardens in the heartlands, a people’s garden for leisure and recreation, and a model for sustainability in green development.
Jurong Lake District
Jurong Lake Gardens will be within the larger Jurong Lake District, which comprises Lakeside Gateway, Jurong Gateway and Lakeside.
Lakeside Gateway, together with the adjoining Jurong Gateway, will be transformed into 'A District of the Future' and Singapore's second Central Business District.
Jurong Lake Gardens
Jurong Lake Gardens will be Singapore’s new national gardens in the heartlands. It will be a people’s garden, where spaces will be landscaped and created for families and the community to come together.
The 90-hectare gardens will comprise JLG West, JLG Central and JLG East. JLG West is currently undergoing development, and is scheduled to be completed in 2018. JLG Central and JLG East will be completed from 2020 onwards.
Jurong Lake Gardens West
Ideas and suggestions received from the public engagement exercise in 2012 and 2015 for Jurong Lake Gardens West revolve around the themes of nature, play and the community. The Gardens will be developed sensitively to retain the serenity of the area whilst incorporating spaces for community and recreational needs. Capitalising on its waterfront location, Jurong Lake Gardens West will focus on creating spacesfor all to enjoy amid nature, greenery and lakeside views. You can begin to enjoy Jurong Lake Gardens West from 2018, when it is completed.
